Winner, Winner! Chicken Dinner!
We have always known contest sponsorships were going to be a part of our online presence. It’s a great way to support other sites that put a lot of hard work into building an audience and to get our products into people’s hands. With our custom photo packaging and the proliferation of puppy and kitty photos online, sponsoring photo contests just seems like a no-brainer. If you recall, we sponsored the January DailyPuppy.com Photo Contest. Now the results are in!
We contacted the winners for their shipping information and flavor preferences. As soon as they responded we sent out the following prizes…

3rd Place Kahlua received a Half Pounder Cheese & Apple along with other goodies (including some kitty treats!)

2nd place Lacy got a One Pounder of Peanut Butter plus some other goodies.
All of these prizes are products that are available in our online store. We are pleased to say that this month’s Daily Puppy Photo contest, based on the total number of entries, was the most successful contest they’ve had to date. Whether our sponsorship and promotion had anything to do with it remains to be seen.
We’ll most likely be sponsoring the Daily Puppy contest again along with some other giveaway promotions. If you want to be the first to know about these contests, please subscribe to our email list (look at the bottom of any web page at http://bakersdog.com) or RSS feed.

Rave Reviews
Although we’ve just gotten started with our little pet bakery, customer reviews have already begun to pop up online. These reviews mean so much to us because it gives us true insight to our customers’ experiences and it really flatters us that anyone would take the time to write actual complete sentences about us!

Peanut Butter Recall!

Your puppies are safe with us!
In case you haven’t heard, there’s another massive recall on peanut butter due to salmonella contamination. It has been found in some pet products. The source is a factory in Georgia that makes peanut butter and peanut paste for other commercial food producers.
You can confidently buy The Baker’s Dog Treats without worry. Here’s why:
We’ve got a confession to make. Our peanut butter treats don’t actually contain peanut butter! We grind the dry roasted, unsalted peanuts ourselves. Why not just use “real” peanut butter? Well, the only difference between ground peanuts and peanut butter is the added salt, high fructose corn syrup, oils, and sugar. Yucky stuff, that you basically don’t want your dog to have. Keep this in mind if you give your dog peanut butter from a jar and be sure you’re using organic, no sugar added peanut butter!

We’re Sooo Social
When you order treats from us, you’re not only getting awesome fresh baked treats, you’re ordering treats from the most technologically advanced pet bakery in the WORLD. Well alright, I say it half jokingly… but I do think it’s true. I don’t think any other pet bakery can claim to have over 10 years pet bakery experience and have a professional level software developer and graphic designer on staff. We put a lot of time in developing our website and custom photo packaging process to make everything as simple and fun to use as possible. Plus, I think it’s cool to say we’re unique to the WORLD (yes, all caps is necessary). Heck, even Steve Jobs hangs out with us.
But what really matters is we make the best tasting, healthy treats for dogs and cats that we can from quality ingredients that don’t have added sugars, salts, or preservatives.
In keeping with our reputation of being awesome, we’ve joined the Web 2.0 social Internet revolution and stuff. We highly recommend you follow us on Twitter and/or become our Facebook fans. We regularly send out special offers and discount codes to those networks! Be forewarned, you may also get less valuable information as well. If we add or change the services we’re active on, you can always check our About Us page. But as of right now, here’s where you can find and interact with us…

Keep in touch!

New Recruits!

When you upload a photo to be printed on a label, we give you the choice of letting The Baker’s Dog use your photo or not. If we choose to use your photo, it will be used on our retail packaged treats and displays. It may also become a photo that’s available for our online customers to use. We had quite a few Christmas themed photos and decided to rotate some of them out.

Hey look! It's Nitro, our featured dog on Peanut Butter & Honey, on a big poster!
Not only will you be rewarded with praise and envy from your peers, but you’ll also win a pound of treats from us! So keep that in mind when you’re uploading a photo to put on your treat package. Congratulations to the winners!

Doggy Treat Keynote Address

(Done in the voice of Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Inc. If you don’t “get it”, don’t worry… it’s because I’m a bit of a geek. UPDATE: As it turns out, Myrtle Beach was shown in the actual Macworld 2009 Keynote. So maybe Steve was hanging out around here after all!)
Thank you all for visiting. We’ve got some exciting things to share with you today and we just know you’re going to love them as much as we do.
First off our custom photo treat packaging has a been a huge success. Orders are up over 100% over this time last year. We’re going to continue to offer our great, fresh baked pet treats in our online store. You can order custom photos on our large model (1lb) and nano (1/2lb) treat bags. We’ve also added the ability to get kitty treats with custom photos. All of these options are available right now and shipping today on BakersDog.com.
The market for humiliating pets with silly costumes and accesories continues to grow. We’ve taken the same hilarious hats and wacky collars we sold during the holidays and drastically reduced the prices. Today we’re offering goofy santa hats for just $1.99. They’re available right now at BakersDog.com.
Our latest product, the Nom-Nom Sandwich is one of our most popular treats. Our engineers spent countless hours figuring out a way of making a wheat and corn free treat that would meet our standards for quality and simple design. We’re very proud of that process and I’m going to ask Paul Reynolds, our Lead Treat Designer, to come on the stage and tell you a little bit more about it….
(Playing: way too long and boring video about the Nom-Nom Sandwich)
Thanks for that, Paul. We have Nom-Nom Sandwiches can be ordered right now and shipped today. Just visit our online store for more information. And now my good friend, Rick Astley, is going to to tell us a little bit about how much his dog enjoys Baker’s Dog treats and maybe we can get him to sing us a tune…
(Never gonna give up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and…)
…Thank you, Rick. Well folks, thank you so much for you and your dogs continued support. 2008 was a great year for us and we expect 2009 to be even better. We’ve got lots of exciting new products and website improvements planned. Oh, there is one more thing…

Nom-nom-nom!

We had a customer that likes our wheat and corn free biscuits, but was bummed out that she couldn’t get any fun dipped treats for her allergic doggy. I invented the Nom-Nom Sandwich and after some successful taste tests, it’s now available on our online store and retail shop! We’ve also slashed more prices in our Clearance Section. There’s some awesome deals in there!
